MOVE IN PROCESS
Upon moving in, you want to connect your TV to the TV service installed in your apartment. Follow the installation directions to connect you TV to the set top box installed in your living room. You may need to reprogram the set top box remote to the set top box. If you want one remote to control the set top box and your TV power and volume, program the set top box remote to your TV. Be sure to keep your original TV remote control in a safe place. For your bedroom, complete a channel scan to store the community channels on your TV.

You will have the option in recording a single program or a show series. Once you purchase a DVR, you will receive a set top box and a new remote control.

Service upgrade instructions
When you’ve decided to upgrade and purchase a channel package or recording option, fill out the Service Upgrade form.
Once you submit the Service Upgrade form, we will contact you to confirm your submission and get any additional information we need to upgrade your service.
We will help set up a DIRECTV account for you and ensure the correct equipment is purchased.
As soon as we can confirm when the equipment will arrive, we will schedule the installation. While you are waiting for the installation, you will still have access to the community lineup.
When the equipment arrives, a set top box will be installed in your apartment along with a new remote. The remote control guide is available above listed under the upgrade option.
Upon installation, we will make sure the equipment is installed properly and all the channels are coming in clearly. Once you’re TV service is upgraded, you can start watching and recording your favorite programs. Managing your recordings is listed above under the upgrade option.

We’ve tried to ease the move in process for you. Your apartment is equipped with a set top box and remote installed in your apartment. To start enjoying your TV service, connect your TV to the TV service system following the installation instructions. You may need to reprogramthe set top box remote to the set top box. If you want one remote to control the set top box and adjust your TV power and volume, follow theinstructions to program the set top box remote to your TV. When you are connecting your TV in a room without a set top box, you will simply connect your TV to the wall outlet with a coax cable and complete a channel scan. Please do not discard your original TV remote.
